Whenever I have a moment to spare I love searching the web for other peoples creative ideas on how to reuse everyday products! After all, great minds think alike and more minds working together can make for a better world.
So I stumbled upon a crafty DIY blog on Blogspot called Her Beautiful Mess. I loved the name and loved this idea even more!
Using old toilet paper rolls as pillow boxes….genius! What a great way to be green when giving a gift! Not to mention, a cheap and easy way to be creative! The picture above is holiday gift giving-specific, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get creative for other gift-giving occasions!
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw these, was wedding favors. With the cost of weddings these days, the last thing you need to be spending a fortune on is the packaging for whatever little gifts you’re giving your guests.

Great idea but how do you get that last bits of toilette paper that always are stuck to the roll off?

Our best guess is to just scrape it off gently with a nail file or razor or something! Good luck!

OK, I seriously think you’re cute with your crafting and reusing. Being green is absolutely crucial to our survival on this planet, and the planet’s survival despite us, BUT I have to tell you that it’s absolutely insane to suggest that someone makes wedding favors out of toilet paper rolls. sounds kind of like it’s
1) dooming your marriage
2) in extremely poor taste
which is the last thing people should do on their wedding day.
This is honestly the reason that wealthy people who are usually the biggest consumers/the most wasteful look at the eco-movement as a bunch of tacky hippies. Just food for thought, if you do this at your wedding, everyone with think you are full of shit. pun!
